The Tuition Paradox

Spent tuesday after-school with my bestest friend and we had an awesome long talk... Very therapeutic... Gave me a fresh new perspective on many of my issues, and i tried to give her the guy's point of view on some issues as well.

It is now week 14 of school, almost at the end of this semester... I genuinely hope 1) i pass this semester 2) i get a better class next semester.

Tuition agency finally called me today.. but offered me lower sec math and science. would've accepted but its at 3pm on weekdays, so i cant take it =/

The Parental Paradox.

As most people know by know, i don't like my parents. Intensely. In fact, let's call it hatred.

I spent my evening with Adam, WL and Joyhan.. we got caught in the rain, so we were all drenched when we arrived at CWP, we decided to eat at kfc and just chill out and have a great time like we always do.

As i headed to the bus interchange to take 169 home, i saw that the bus was SO full tat i could not possibly crowd into it. so i went up to take mrt. When the MRT came, it was f***ing full too. so i went back down to the bus interchange (waste bloody money and time) and a 169 came which wasnt full.

All along the walk home, there was still a light drizzle.

When i opened my house door. The first thing i heard was not "Did you get caught in the rain?" or "did youhave your dinner?"

No, my parents are far too dislikeable for that. I got a resounding "WHY DID YOU GET YOUR SHOES SOAKED? DON'T YOU KNOW THEY SPOIL FASTER THAT WAY??"

I put as much hatred i could as i stared at my mom before dragging my soggy self to my room, with my father peppering my mom's shouting with "No respect... parents... Brother... sister... good... don't.. why.. you... disrespectful.."

What a lovely home to return to after a day of crappy shitty classmates and boring ass subjects.

The Bus Paradox.

I was sitting at the bus stop today at 4pm, going home, and i came to consider something in my state of boredom. I started to evaluate the rarity of seats on the bus.

Assuming that the buses are the long bendy type, the ideal position to stand at the bus stop outside rp, is the third peg from the left. that way, if the bus driver over compensates, u have a shorter distance to walk, same for vice versa.

The value of the seats also change with different times. On monday, when my faci release us as early as 3pm, there are little competition for the seats, so i will choose my favourite seat. the ones just after the bendy section of the bus, intended for handicap people.

When its as late as 4pm, when most of the school are released, the thing changes completely. IF and only if, the bus driver stopped the bus in front of u, then there is no change. you should be the first up the bus and can choose ur seat. if not, which is the likelier scenario, the 4 seaters in the front as well as the seats behind the bus driver increases in value.

I would say the seat behind the seat behind the bus driver is better as compared to the 4 seaters.. the reason being you dont have to face strangers sitting opposite of u. if they are, then u have to turn ur head to the sides the whole way home. One down side of the seat behind the bus driver is that it is slightly cramped, and my legs, being of the longer variety, often have to cramp to fit in.

What happens if the bus that comes is the original short one?

Then the seat of value changes. The one directly behind the exit, as well as the one with the emergency exit becomes my favored seat, as they have more leg space. however, the emergency handle will be poking into ur ribs. and if u go home at 4, the sun will be shining thru the window at the exit seat.

in my opinion, the worst seat in the bus is in the center of the five seater right at the back. this is because the moment people get up the bus, the first thing they see u. also, if the bus driver jam brake, chances are u will fall face first onto the floor. and you can't look anywhere. can't look at sides cuz people beside u, cant look front cuz got people coming up. cant sleep or u will fall. crap seat.

For short bus rides, like from yishun interchange to my home, i favor the standing section over the usual valued seats. this is because every seat has a "wearing in period" in which u keep shifting to find a comfortable spot. the bus ride is so short, that might as well just stand.

amazing isnt it, one of my longer posts this year, dedicated to such a bo liao subject.

The Language-Friendship Paradox.

I do not mean to brag whatsoever, but i like to believe that i have an above average grasp and command of the english language.

So why is it that i have such a hard time communicating with people (ie. my current classmates.)?

And why do i communicate with majority of my friends in Mandarin?
hmm.. it is a pickle..

Was on facebook the other day, did something called "What are you hiding from your friends?"
The answer i got was "Emotions"

and they went in depth.

"You tend to laugh and joke around when you are with everyone, but you feel lonely and empty when are all alone. you cry alone when you have stress and problems. you often have many problems that are bugging you, but you never show them out on your face. you are not as cheerful as they thought, but you just don't wish to spoilt the mood of everyone, hence you hide your emotions inside. you are just a weak human with feelings afterall"

i find it to be extremely true... alot of the time, when im not in the mood, i will just smile and laugh for the sake of everyone so people can have a good time.

The Liar's Paradox (JM Edition)

Parents spend half of their life telling their children not to tell lies. But when faced with a situation that calls for it, parents will often tell their children to tell some lies.

Also, I've come to realise, through my own experience, that when parents has a child who is a habitual liar, and the parents scolds him and tells him not to lie anymore, the child will often improve his lying skills so he won't be caught.

The Relationship-Class Paradox.

I've been observing something about my detestful class again, and i found a strange phenomenon.

Why is it that people in my class who have a boyfriend/girlfriend act the least like it??

You, Miss Season, stop batting your eyelashes and laying ur hands on every guy in the class (she even did it on me *shudder*). You have a boyfriend, so friggin behave like it!

You, Mr I-don't-know-any-other-volume-except-for-SHOUT, you have a girlfriend too, so keep your paws off above mentioned Miss Season and 3 other girls in class.

Being flirty is fine. i have friends who are flirty (hi wei liang) but for god's sake, draw the line at your flirting, keep your hands to yourself.

On a second note, i've bought a new mouse pad, Razer Destructor. and my next target is Razer Lachesis.
