Whoa

I was playing Hellgate: London (which i dont think is as bad as so many reviewrs say) and after i finished it, as if compelled by some weird unseen force, or perhaps possession, i grabbed a piece of A3 paper (unused from DNT days) and started playing tic-tac-toe with MYSELF. shocking.
yawn. 31st march. 21 days before school reopens, before the 3rd chapter of RP life begins, before i have to start worrying about PP (which i still have no idea how to do, btw), before i have to worry about my disastrously low CE points. (somewhere between 3-7).

*NERD RANT ALERT*

"Light infantry 2, move down the right flank to intercept those greek Phalanxes from reaching the General Heavy Cavalry."

"Archer 4, move behind Light Infantry 2 and lend them supporting fire."

"Light Cavalry 1, charge the greek horsemen to scatter them. Spearmen infantry 5, move up and finish them off."

"General Heavy Cavalry and all remaining cavalry units, chase after the fleeing enemies to wipe them out for the win."

Those are some thoughts that i had from a particular battle in Rome: Total War today, which suddenly feels sorta like Code Geass' LeLouch/Zero in his first battle after getting his powers.

Great game. Its very difficult to play, imo, because the economy bit is hard to manage, but in battle, sometimes it's a walk in the park, but against like a 10 star general, even if your troops outnumber his, you might find yourself in deep trouble as they try to flank you, charge you down to scatter your formation, circle behind you, etc etc.

I'm downloading Hellgate London. I think it sucks, but hey, when you don't have games to play, you can't afford to be choosy.

Today

is the birthday of the only other person i am okay with in this family asides from my brother. My sister.
In case you're thinking, "Hey, i saw a pic of ur bro in the previous posts, but i havent seen one of your sister yet." Well here it is.
Its her 27th birthday, and her last birthday she'll celebrate with us before she gets married next month.
We went to this hotel to eat. They had the most epic coffee EVER. I drank like, 6 cups there in one go.
Happy birthday sis.

*NERD RANT ALERT!*

On a side note, today, i tried the game Rome: Total War. And i can finally say that i have found THE game for me. People who know me well know that i love to use tactics and thoughts in my games. Some might say "warcraft" or "starcraft" or other equally epic RTS games, but the truth is, i usually suck at them. They're too fast paced for me to use tactics. I usually end up bunching a whole group of the best units and lump them at the enemy with zero tactics whatsoever.

Rome: Total War (not the latest in the total war series) is awesome in the sense that, outside of battle, you play it like you would any Civilizations game. In battle however, it becomes somewhat like a lord of the rings movie. And if you have the right tactics and strategy, you can easily defeat 600++ troops with 300 of your own. This is probably the first time i found myself so deep in thought in any game, as i figured out how best to turn the tide, or decisively stomp the enemy.

The best battle i had had to be the aforementioned 300 vs 600 war. With 4 squads of light infantry, 1 archer squad and my general unit. I split the 4 squads of light infantry, 2 by 2. The enemy took my bait, splitting into 2 too. With the troops in front of my general unit cleared, he charged towards the opposing commander and started battling it, but i knew i was gonna lose. my general had far less body guards. i took 1 infantry squad and maneuvered it behind the opposing commander and caught him in a pinch. Succesfully, i defeated him, dropping the morale of the enemy, but the job was not done.

I was still crazily outnumbered. I positioned my remaining 3 infantry squads into a semi circle, with the archer in the centre, well protected. My general unit went around the back of the enemy as they busied themselves with the infantry and slowly took them out. And with that, i won. True, when i was done, i was only left with half my general squad and 1 quarter of the archers. But i had won. It was truly a moment that made me laugh out loud, and pump my fist into the air, knowing that i had won because of my tactics, and not rushed head on like a fool.

gosh, i'm such a dork.

Russell Peters.

I don't get it. Why do so many people adore him? I mean, sure, he's funny (debateable) but it always seems like he makes the same jokes. Even he himself notice the punchline for his jokes is always the indian accent. or about them being cheap. It's like, make new jokes man! And the way he does his skits is so.. dead too.. he just stands there and talks, (which in essence, is not wrong) but watch another comedian, Dane Cook in Vicious Circle and you'll come to realise why Russell Peters seems dead and inactive.

Dane cook is my favourite comedian because his jokes applies to everyday life. Family, going to the movies, relationships, etc etc. Russell Peters racial jokes are funny first time round, but after watching his other performances, it just gets flat for me because it doesnt link with me. If i hear another "Any chinese people in the house? Always the "woo" family, nice." i swear to god, i will boycott russell peters forever.

Have you ever

Wondered how JM lives his life? What his room looks like? If you have, wonder no more!

Here's my room, small but efficiently built.

I share the room with my brother, JS. The above is a pic of him and his almost 10-year girlfriend.
A class photo of me in sec 4 can also be found in my room, blutacked to my cabinet.
And the graduation picture as well, of course.
Here's my bed. Well technically, my bed is the one below, so i have to pull it out at night. My brother, because of his "seniority" gets the upper bed.
The little blue basket at the bottom of the pic is where my "go-out stuff" are. Like my wallet, my watches, etc etc. On the top shelf, u can see my 3 beloved Razer merchandise boxes. The little yellow plastic dish on the top shelf is my pride and joy as it was my first well-done project in DNT.
The nerd's heaven, here resides my PSP, my harry potter collection, and if u really look carefully, you'll see a full set of death note comics on the PSP shelf. Also shown here on the bottom left shelf is a picture of me when i was about 3.
And here is where all the magic happens.Laptop, mouse, mousepad. The perfect union.i always have a stack of papers in the red basket to the left, in case when i need to jot notes down when im playing games. Use my controller as a paperweight. My bag is also nearby so i can access the handy USB stuffs i have.
Right behind my laptop area, is of course, my brother's laptop area. My brother has this really big and bulky chair, that has wheels, so he can spin around, when he does, my head often gets hit.

So now you've seen my room, and you know how i live, lol.
